About Data Seeding Partners
Central Index sources data from normal routes such as licensing, but in order to grow the Index as quickly as possible, we are working with specific organisations that hold public data profiles for Companies, and inviting them to become 'seed partners' in the Central Index.
Similar to an online 'wiki', where a 'stub article' attracts further input from the community, Central Index creates 'seed index cards' which hold basic information on businesses, and invite the users to 'claim' and 'augment' the content on the card.
The unique nature of the 'seed' relationship is that only one partner can seed one Company profile, and thereafter any other seed partner holding similar information on a matching company can only augment or "view" the already seeded listing.
It is therefore in the interests of any potential seed partner to act quickly and use their existing data footprint to establish seeds within the Central Index, so that they can be the unique beneficiary of future updates and amendments to this data on preferential terms.
